SunRay has just completed a 6 day ordeal during which QuickBooks held our invoices hostage! Even telephone negotiations with level 3 trained negotiators (service? wizards) couldn’t get the invoices mailed! Today, our invoices were released thru negotiations held by OUTLOOK!!!

Thankfully, those of us who worked closely with these negotiators had plenty of purified water on hand to keep hydrated and wash down those pills for headache and neckache! We maintained our energy levels, kept our heads clear, our emotions in check, our brains and eyes hydrated by glasses of ice cold SunRay Waters distilled water!

To all of our wonderful customers who receive our invoices by e-mail, “Thank you for your patience and understanding!”

Minerals in water are more like rocks and are not readily available to our bodies for uptake. Think “inorganic contaminants” rather than “minerals.”

In fact, in order to get any health benefit from minerals in drinking water, we would have to drink a swimming pool full of water containing the right types of minerals daily. Whew!

Our bodies get minerals from food. Minerals in food are “organic” and are easily absorbed and utilized.

To rid our bodies of waste products and impurities, we need plenty of clean, pure drinking water every day.

Want minerals? Eat a rutabaga. Want pure drinking water? Drink SunRay Waters. Life’s Drink.

”MC ”, a new customer, called last week asking about a “White water” cradle set. This is a stainless steel cradle that holds a 5 or 3 gallon bottle combined with a dispenser tap that fits a 48 mm threaded bottle or a 55mm crown top bottle. This allows for dispensing of water directly from the bottle that rests in this cradle on a counter top or shelf. It is guaranteed not to drip and uses no reservoir.

Today was the first time we actually met. Our new customer, “MC”, and her husband, are local artists, wildlife enthusiasts and they keep (rescue) reptiles, specifically Gila Monsters! These chunky, slightly venomous lizards are considered an endangered species. Ray and I are part of a breed specific cat rescue and so it was easy to progress to talking about our interests in animals. ”MC” revealed that she uses her home reverse osmosis system to provide pure water for her reptiles! She also has been searching for a really good source of distilled water. She bought our distilled water to use with her water colors and egg tempera paints. During a short lesson on egg tempera paints, I found out these paints have survived on canvas for over 500 years! And, using distilled water for her water colors has resulted in very clear, brilliant colors!

So, I learned something new about water, lizards, and paints!

“How long can bottled water be stored safely – say for emergency planning?” An excellent question and an important part of any emergency plan. Experts say that you can safely store bottled water for two years or even more if it is kept in a cool, dark location. And I certainly wouldn’t be afraid to store water longer than that if I were going to use it in cooking (boiling) or for non-potable use (flushing and bathing.)

But if I were going to drink that water, I think I would rotate my stored water every two years, just to be safe.

Be sure to rotate your bottles in your home and office as well. When we bring you more water, always use the older bottles first. That assures you the freshest, best tasting water available in Austin, or anywhere in Central Texas.

“How long has your water been bottled before you deliver it to me?”

That’s an excellent question to ask your water supplier, and one we hear every now and then. We like it when we get this one, because it shows that you are an astute and savvy consumer. It’s also easy for us to answer.

Our water is purified usually about a day or two before it is bottled and it is bottled on average about two to three days before we deliver it to you. Our heated and air conditioned “warehouse” is about the size of an ordinary two-car garage – we can’t “store” a lot of water so we make it fresh or “Just-in-Time” for you. We also practice “FIFO” inventory control, or “First In, First Out.” The water we made yesterday will be delivered before the water we made today and so on.

Most of the other guys can’t deliver within a few days after bottling – or even perhaps within a few weeks or months. Their process starts in a factory somewhere else – not here in Central Texas – and ends up with semi-truckloads traveling hundreds of miles. Who knows when that water was bottled?

We use a code on the bottle that tells us when it was bottled and can tell you exactly when each one was made. Give us a call with that number and we’d be happy to give you its bottling date.

Cheers,

G. Ray.
